Quill
To sharpen my quill, Words pour out from the inkwell - Feather of purpose. ________ I took this photo in Gettysburg, PA in December. The cloud formation reminded me of a quill, which inspired this haiku. Lazy
Drift as the subtle current pulls me, Follow the flow around & around. Wave every time I pass my mom. Hold steady in the tube, as Waterfalls cascade over my head. A day of lounging at the water park, Am I lazy or is it the river? The condensation caused a foggy haze on the glass.
Excited children make finger doodle art with glee, Smiley faces, Rainbows, Clouds, Stars - A reminder of innocence found, During a summer of discovery, On the dewy remnants of storm windows. Sun Fight
I got into a fight with the sun. It hit me with a punch of heat to my face. It rained tears of sweat down my eyes, It painfully burned my delicate skin. It beat on me until I was too tired to fight back. We used to be friends, But not today. |
